no this is dangerous as someone can phalanx you and attack as your fleet returns and you can do nothing to stop it

i saw a strange ship on my overview (looked sort of like a station) i assumed it was a new animation as they do stuff without telling us

if you got it before you have to wait 12 months not just the next year 
it does not rest every year ie january! but every 12 months so if you bought once in july it resets in july the next year
